Twas the night of December 21st and 5 young girls were sitting by a fire inside a log cabin as outside the wind blew drifts of snow in the cold Montana night. Kate (who has Diabetes) and Denell (who is a cancer survivor) started drawing sketches on a napkin. The two started to get anxious at the idea of starting a t-shirt line. As their thoughts began to churn, Denell's twin sisters, Nichol and Raquel, and Kate's sister Sarah, started to draw their own ideas. All 5 agreed that having an eye as a logo would be innovative and high-selling. With the excitement of starting their own company, the girls pondered the idea of having part of the proceeds go to Diabetes and cancer research and awareness. I Open Eyes LLC is a teen-run, teen high fashion t-shirt line. The mission of I Open Eyes is to open teens' eyes to both diseases while helping move forward a cure.
